Dash Board
The main difference in the dash board is the lower corners. The early dash has rounded corners and the later dash with glove box has squared corners. Also the hole for the wiper and headlight switch bezel are larger on the later glove box models. The support brace behind the cluster are different on the '73-'77 models. The '76-'77 lower dash has a removable cover where the parking brake handle previous occupied to access the fuse's.
In '72, instead of having the "Fasten Seat Belt" light in the gauge cluster, this light moved toward the middle of the dash. Starting in '73 this light returned to the cluster. Two optional wood grain plaque was offered in '72, with or without AC. The package tray dash could be had with or without lower chrome trim. Radio delete plate changed when the lower dash changes.
The AC vent in the center of dash
changed three times during the production run. The early vent
louvers
are horizontal and made of metal. The mid '72-'75 has plastic with
vertical louvers. The '76-'77 vent is not as wide as the previous years.
