Pedal Box
The early Maverick with the ignition switch on the dash used a different pedal box than the later Maverick with the switch on the steering column. One of the differences is bolt hole location to mount the column to the pedal box. The bolts are half inch closer together for the skinny column without the switch. I don’t know how much trouble it would be to make the late pedal box fit an early ’70...it could be simple or it could be a can of worms. I do know that you can add a late 70-72 clutch pedal to the late 70-72 automatic pedal box, but you can’t add a clutch pedal on the 74-up automatic pedal box without modifications.
