Here are a few pictures of Jimmy's 70 drag racecar. Shortly after this Maverick was purchased new it was converted into a Pro Stock. A '69 Boss 302 service block with 13 to 1 compression with '70 Boss heads and '69 intake. Bud Moore did the machine work on the heads back in the day .630 lift cam and a Doug Nash 5-speed transmission was installed. The front suspension was replaced with a Torsion Bar Suspension from a '70 Plymouth Duster with a Pinto rack and pinion steering. The flexible steering shaft is an 1 in. steel cable. Fiberglass fenders, hood and front bumper. The Detroit locker 9 in. ratio is 6.00:1 The 5-speed has been replaced lately with a C6.
