History of our ClubThe Falcon Club of America (FCA) is a non-profit organization with worldwide membership, dedicated to the preservation of the 1960-1970½ Falcon automobiles built by the Ford Motor Company and to the fostering of family values, friendship, and fun. The National organization was founded by Roy Sword of Jacksonville, Arkansas in 1979 and has grown to over 7100 members. By joining the Falcon Club of America you will receive the Falcon News, a directory of all Falcon members in America and elsewhere, How To Articles, Falcon Tales, and Parts Vendors to keep those beautiful Falcons running and rolling. The SouthEast Chapter (SEC) of the Falcon Club of America was formed in 1984 and in addition to promoting the FCA national goals, the SouthEast Chapter strives to help local members maintain and restore their Falcons. The SouthEast Chapter has over 45 members and usually meets on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00PM. Locations vary each month so be sure to check our website for up to date details. We announced in our March 2000 edition newsletter, our club’s leadership has been working with Hemmings Motor News to establish a Web Site on their server for our chapter. This was the stepping stone having our Club on the internet. In just 3 short years later we now have two websites on different servers that allows us more freedom and more space to host pictures. The Domain Name Modifier, “secfalcons”, was chosen to capture the essence of our club: “sec” for the SouthEast Chapter, and of course, “falcons” for what were are so dedicated to preserving. Our original site was established on Friday, March 3, 2000, with a late evening upload of our site files to the Hemmings server by means of a process called FTP, File Transfer Protocol. Regarding our National site - www.falconclub.com - Dave Wagner has put a link to our site from the National site, and we have a reciprocal link from our site to the National. This makes it easy and attractive for National and secfalcons site visitors to get back and forth and to get to know us. Anyone interested in Falcon automobiles may join our local chapter for $15.00 per year providing that they are also a member of the National Club. FCA dues are $25.00 per year and you can join the National Club through our local chapter if you prefer. Please see our on-line Membership Application on this Web Site. Our monthly meetings, times, and places are posted on our Web Site as well. Come visit and join with us to preserve the Ford Falcon automobile. The Southeast Chapter Officers |
