The picture on the left is the first guitar I got him just to see if he was serious about music. He actually did not put it
down when his fingers started to bruise. A few weeks later had his first
'professional' lesson. (Thanks Ted with the strange last name, you know
who you are) I got Rich a Fender Stait the following Christmas 6 months later he was on stage sitting in with a couple guys playing backup. Songs include 'Sweet Home Alabama", "Desperado", "Tequila Sunrise" The next week the guy asked if he learned any old song? Richard said "No, you learn any new songs?" By this time Rich was hammering out Metallica and Nirvana to name a few.

Playing on stage does something to you, when it gets into your blood you got to have it. He met a guy who was starting a band. Things started to fall together. Although it didn't last maybe 9 months. They had a couple original songs that could have went somewhere if they had the right connections. One time the band got to play a song at the sports bar. With professional sound system, lightshow, and atmosphere, ...it was awesome. The crowd loved it. These 3 12 year old kids was in hog heaven, on top of the world. | ![]() |

Some of the music they played had the sound and style of Green Day.
