Tail Light Bezel

I saw a video on YouTube where a guy used Hair & Grease drain cleaner to remove the anodized coating from the aluminum trim and though that I'll give it a try on a extra pair of bezels. The first photo is what I have to deal with. You can see the bezel is more white instead of bright shinny aluminum. I used a spray trigger from a bottle of mag wheel cleaner to spray the drain cleaner and let it sit for 5 minutes. I then hosed the bezels off with a garden hose and dried them with a towel. Next I polished the bezel with Mother's Mag Wheel polish. The next 4 photos are the results. The last photo is after a second treatment. I will go back and spray the bezels with clear coat for protection.
